2011!!

So last year went by so fast i didn't have the chance to post anything for around three months. I am a busy person these days! I have recently gotten into photography, for Christmas I got a polaroid instant camera. It's so much more satisfying to be able to hold the picture in your hand after you took it!! I like to pretend I'm in an eighties movie and take a picture and then wave it around and blow on it. The colors in the pictures are so washed out and cool, I wish they were bigger, though. The pictures now are only half the size what they used to be..they are about the size of a credit card! I'm typing this in my computer tech class, the teacher is blabbering on about some powerpoint assignment. BOREDOM. Anyway, bye bye friends!!(:

COLORGUARD GIRLS...(AND BOY)...were undeniable!!

SO...colorguard is pretty much my life these days!! I can now toss a double!! Life is good right now...amazing friends and...other people(;...fun adventures...breaking marbles...you know...the usual!!

SUMMMER AND GLASSES!

So I am So fudging excited that its finally summer. This summer i am working down at my grandpa's insurance company in salt lake! Its royally boring to sit there all day filing five hundred papers, literally. Also another new thing is that i recently got new glasses! I got another more vintage pair than the ones shown but i will get those tomorrow! I will be sure to post pics for all to see(: I am also suddenly really excited to get my permit in August! You would think im going into ninth grade right? no! I am going to be a sophomore and I am only getting my permit. Yes, I am almost a year younger than others in my grade but i've learned to live with it(: I can't stop myself from already thinking about what car i will get ALL THE TIME! Its bugging me! I think either a volkswagen bug or a jeep liberty...which one do you think?? (pictures above) But the other non car non glasses pictures are just some bits of my summer so far...pretty good if you ask me!

COLORGUARD BABY!

So i recently joined my school's colorguard and IT IS SO FUN. Well i am mainly referring to the band party i went to after practice on thursday...all i can say is...nothing...i can only show you this...(above)

cupcakes!!!

So i am pretty excited because i dream of being a baker when i grow up and Thursday will be my first chance to sell cupcakes. My friend Risa's mom has a skirt/purse company and she is having an open house on Thursday and she said i could sell my cupcakes! I am making mini lemon cupcakes with strawberry frosting. I will make two other kinds but i haven't decided on those yet!

MGMT

So who loves MGMT? if you haven't heard of them they are the third best band in the universe (the beatles are first, vampire weekend is second). Speaking of which i am looking forward to their concert in salt lake thats coming up because me and my compadre Ms. Jaydyn Rae will be going! The lead singer, Andrew VanWyngarden, is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! (bottom) I thought i might add a picture of Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend (top) just to give you a taste. There is a kid at my school who looks just like Ezra and wears the same type of clothes and everything!

super secret plans...

ugh. i am just waiting for summer, there will be random times throughout the day when i say that it smells like summer. At this point everyone looks at me like im crazy but i just go with it. Oh and about the super secret plans i can't really tell you about them because they are..well...secret. The picture above is me and my compadres. Summer with them is the best, im slightly sad though because i am going down to work at my grandpa's company in the big SLC (not really very big) for a few weeks and i will miss them dearly!

OH MY GOSHNESS I JUST REALIZED THAT THERE IS ONLY A MONTH AND A HALF LEFT IN SCHOOL! This summer will be the BEST ONE EVER! I feel like singing that 'best day ever' song from spongebob! There has been some weird stuff happening in our group of friends but I hope with summer right around the corner they will clear right up. I think me and my best friend Jaydyn will be closer than ever this year because we just get in these weird moods during school i think...it really brings out the worst in us if you're eating what im baking...But heres some PICTURES of Jaydyn and I.

summer lovin'

Summer is the best time of year for me and my friends (you know who you are you select group of people...). Its the times when were going to do what we want and no one will stop us. What we want being to walk two miles to the dam and go for a swim. To go to RiZa's house and play some kick ass lacrosse with various fruits. And we also like to stick some toilet papering in there too. All my best memories of being with my friends are during the summer, and well the ones of Christopher are pretty great (you know who you are)...but all i can say is that summer couldn't be any more fun than it is with me and my friends. Its like, triple sleepovers, throw on a t-shirt short shorts and converse and go do whatever we have the urge to kind of fun...which is pretty much the most fun fun you've ever had....ever.

dance dance dance!

So there was a school dance this last Friday called the Mr. Freshman M.C. dance and competition. It is essentially a popularity contest for the boys at my school and they have a girl from our grade sponsor them. One of my best friends Beckah was a sponsor, she wore the prettiest brown dress and the fabric was bunched in the prettiest way! I absolutely loved it. I wore a dress that I oh so surprisingly found at DI! I will have to get a picture of it on here of all of my friends dresses. But overall the dance was not all that much fun, pretty much a disappointment for my first formal:(.....But I had a good time dancing with some of my close friends!

Contra

Vampire Weekend's new album, Contra, is amazing. I can't say I love it as much as their first album but i do LOVE it! My favorite song is giving up the gun...Your sword’s grown old and rusty, Burnt beneath the rising sun, It’s locked up like a trophy, Forgetting all the things it’s done, And though it’s been a long time, You’re right back where you, started from, I see it in your eyes, That now you’re giving up the gun....I love their lyrics! I'm also super excited because i get to go to their concert in Salt Lake on thursday with my sister, her boyfriend, her buddies, one of her buddies brother......oh and my other sister. So kind of a strange group but it will still be a party!

I have now witnessed the miracle that is Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and i was amazed. Burton can take any classic fairy tale and turn it into the creepiest thing you've ever seen, but thats what i love about him. he's a miracle worker i love him!
